| Yellowstone is famed for its Bison, or
American Buffalo. These huge animals can grow to 2500 lbs, and can
stand over 5 ft. high and attain a length of 9 ft. They can be found
almost anywhere in the Park, but seem to love the rolling hills and
plains on the eastern side of Yellowstone. Although they appear
docile while grazing, they can be quite unfriendly and even
dangerous. And, wherever the Bison want to go, they go! We were
pleased to get some very up-close shots of the Bison (from the road,
of course). And we had fun watching the traffic and bison get along. |
