Mihingo Lodge is located just outside the borders of Lake Mburo National Park. It sits on the top of a granite mountain, and has a commanding view of the Park below. Its accommodations are rustic, but very comfortable.The main buildings, pictured above, provide the dining "room" and a lounge (over to the right). The guests stay in tents build on thatch covered platforms. The tents are enclosed to prevent monkeys in the trees around them to get in and make a mess. Mihingo even has a pool for guests which, at this altitude, is really cooollldd! Mihingo was a great place to launch our safari from.
