Bishop Barham College

Commencement 2007

Bishop Barham College is an integral part of Uganda Christian University. Like the home campus in Mukono, Bishop Barham was once a theological seminary. Today, the College provides a diversified curriculum leading to various diplomas and degrees.

The team from the UK, US and Australia arrived bright and early in the morning. At one point the men in the group posed for a picture (in the bright sun!). (Img 1)

Diane and Jim were happy to see some former students whom they had helped to support through UCU Partners (Imgs 2 & 3).

The ceremonies began with a procession led by the College band (Img4). The former Archbishop of Canterbury, George Carey, was directed to the seat of honor by Vice Chancellor, Dr. Stephen Noll (Img 5).

The Vice Chancellor and other dignitaries were seated as graduands were presented for their degrees (Imgs 6 & 7). Archbishop Carey gave the keynote address to all assembled (Imgs 8 & 9).

The exuberant student body provided cultural entertainment during an interlude of various dances. (Img 10 through 14)

Following the graduation, the Faculty posed for a group photograph (Img 15).
